ILF Consulting Engineers has been commissioned by South Oil Company (SOC) to provide the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the pipelines of the Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP).
The CSSP will supply the oil fields in southern Iraq with seawater that will be injected into the deposits as secondary extraction measure in order to increase the overall oil recovery.
The capacity of the two 150km-long pipelines is planned to be 12.5MBWPD (equal to 24 m³/sec) in the final stage.
The CSSP is one of the largest facilities of its kind worldwide. SOC was commissioned by the Oil Ministry of Iraq to develop and operate the CSSP.
