Emaar Economic City (EEC) is a Saudi Arabian real estate development company established in 2006 by Dubai-based Emaar Properties and a number of Saudi Arabian investors. EEC is a single purpose company exclusively responsible for development of the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) project on a 168 mn sqm land plot on the Red Sea coast and within Saudi Arabia’s most populous region (the western region). In terms of built-up area, the land bank is estimated to total 144.75 mn sqm.
The King Abdullah Economic City is comprised of six zones and districts, notably the port, industrial district, resort, educational zone, residential district and financial island.
