Comprehensive Multiple Transportation Company was first established as a limited liability company with four buses only. In 1998, and upon the Jordanian Government's decision to privatize the public transportation sector, CMTC was licensed to operate a public transportation unit. CMTC then evolved into a public shareholding company in 2006 with a registered capital of JOD 10 million. Currently, it owns and operates the main three companies in the public transportation sector (Al Dhilal, Asia, and Al Tawfiq Public Transport) with a capital to JOD 20 million. CMTC runs a fleet of 450 buses serving up to 200,000 passengers each day.
