Aramex is a provider of international and domestic express package delivery, freight forwarding, logistics and other transportation services primarily to, from and within the Middle East and South Asia. Established in Jordan in 1982 as the Middle Eastern wholesale arm for international courier companies, such as FedEx; Aramex soon earned the nick name of "Courier Company of Courier Companies". Sixteen years later, the company changed its business model to sell its services and leverage on its own brand. Today, the company employs over 6,000 people and has set a mission to become the 5th largest global logistics and transportation service provider by 2010.
