Noozz signs partnership deal with Union of Arab Banks

Noozz is proud to announce the signing of its latest partnership deal with the Union of Arab Banks (UAB).

The partnership promises to further concrete Noozz’s position within the global Arab Business Community while providing UAB with an opportunity to promote their work to an international audience. UAB and Noozz are both dedicated to the goal of assisting the development and promotion of the global Arab Banking Community and believe this partnership will be a valuable asset in this task.

The UAB seeks to foster cooperation between its members in order develop the role of the Arab banking and financial sector in Arab countries. The Union is seeking to be the main and true support for the Arab common economic practice, and the corner stone in the process of building and developing banking cooperation for the benefit of economic, financial, and banking development in the Arab world.
 
It comprises more than 300 financial and banking institutions, representing the major and biggest Arab banks. This makes the Union the largest banking and financial consortium in the region and a true representative of the Arab banking community.

Noozz is proud to launch an exciting new feature within its country portals – NoozzVIEW

NoozzVIEW will feature daily commentary and analysis on the key political and economic happenings within the Middle East. Focusing on both individual markets, and the region as a whole, NoozzVIEW seeks to address and discussthe wider issues affecting the region’s business and economic climate.

The launch of NoozzVIEW also heralds the arrival of two new Noozz team members – Christopher Walker and Derek Brown.

Christopher Walker spent most of his 33 year career with The Times covering the Middle East and greater Arab world. He was Middle East correspondent based in Jerusalem from 1979 to 1985 and again from 1994 to 1999. From 1994 to 1999 he covered East Africa and the Arab world from Cairo. From 1985 to 1988 he was Moscow correspondent and was Northern Ireland correspondent, in Belfast, both at the height of the troubles from 1974 to 1979 and again from 1999 to 2002. Christopher is now based in London where he continues to focus upon Middle East affairs, providing commentary and analysis for both Sky Television and the British Forces Broadcasting Service.

Derek Brown wrote for The Guardian for 32 years. From 1993 to 1997 he was their Middle East correspondent based in Jerusalem. He started his career with The Guardian as Northern Ireland correspondent based in Belfast from 1972 to 1977. From 1983 to 1987 he was Europe Correspondent, based in Brussels and from 1987 to 1993 South East Asia correspondent based in New Delhi. As well as writing for Noozz, Derek also produces a column for The Guardian Weekly which focuses on UK affairs.

Michael Ward, Noozz Chairman and CEO commented on the new feature saying “We feel very excited and extremely privileged to be joined by two such distinguished journalists. They have enormous knowledge of the Middle East and other emerging markets. That they are willing to join the Noozz team is testament indeed to the quality and reputation of our product. Noozz Announced the Appointment of Richard P. Ream to the Position of President, Noozz America

Noozz today announced the appointment of Richard P. Ream to the newly – created position of President, Noozz America. Mr. Ream has also joined the Executive Board of Noozz with immediate effect.

Mr. Ream has had a long involvement with the Information Industry, including serving eight years as Vice president of Worldwide Sales & services for Dialog, now a key business unit of Thomson.
