In advance of the March 17 summit of the cartel of the 12 main oil producers’, OPEC due in Vienna on march 17, oil prices slipped back from eight-week highs on March 9, dropping sharply below $81 a barrel on expectations of a rise in US crude inventories and a slightly stronger US dollar.
